Curator Anne van der Zwaag invited forty Dutch established and emerging talents from the world of art, design, fashion, architecture, literature and photography to show new works in the palace and gardens of Soestdijk Palace.
Christie van der Haak furnishes the former room of Queen Wilhelmina with textile panels, upholstered chairs and carpet.

Christie van der Haak has created a site-specific installation that transforms the entire space into a vivid extravaganza of (sometimes dazzlingly coloured) fairy tale patterns. The spectacle is complemented by fabric designs, objets d’art and paintings, including the artist’s Apocalyptic Horsemen series from the Gemeentemuseum’s own collection.
On 27 November 2015, artist Christie van der Haak was awarded the Ouborg Prize 2015 in recognition of her extensive and varied oeuvre. The award ceremony also marked the opening of her exhibition, entitled Sproken / Fairy Tales, at the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag. The Ouborg Prize jury praised the artist’s versatility and the impressive way in which she works at the interface of art and design, employs a wide range of materials and techniques, and communicates her unfailing enthusiasm and passion to others. Stedelijk Museum Schiedam has commissioned various artists to create new work for this exhibition in 2014. Schilderkunst op Drift is a group exhibition with painters who are not only within the frame, but also next to the canvas, on the wall and in the space. want to work. Self-proclaimed muralists created new work in the main hall, two smaller rooms and the connecting rooms. With Hadassah Emmerich, Lizan Freijsen, Christie van der Haak and Mark Kent.

Christie van der Haak was commissioned by Museum de Lakenhal Leiden to design a New Leiden cloth. From 2017, the fabrics were offered for sale per linear meter in the museumshop. The fabric is of high quality and made of wool.

2013-2014
Christie van der Haak has decorated several rooms at Klein Offem Manor in Noordwijk. Her fabric designs, tapestries, ceramic bowls and furniture were showcased along with a monumental sculpture by the Austrian artist Elmar Trenkwalder.
